Amkor Timeline for Peoria, AZ

Amkor and the City of Peoria released a statement saying that Amkor will build its next packaging facility in Peoria, but would not disclose the location.

Feb 20, 2024

City Council votes and passes Amkor Development Agreement where the facility was described as being about 500,000 sqft and 54 ft tall.

March 27, 2024

Public meeting regarding Amkor, again describing the building as 500,000 sqft and 54 ft tall.

Oct 15, 2024

City Council Meeting updating the Development Agreement, now including Vistancia Development. 

Jan 8, 2025

Amkor Town Hall. During this meeting, it was disclosed that the facility will now be more than 2 million sqft, and 118 ft tall. They also state they do not know what chemicals will be used.

Feb 27, 2025

Vistancia Village Association hosts an Amkor Town Hall with councilmember Matt Bullock, City Manager Henry Darwin, and Asst City Manager Mike Faust. It was told to the crowd that answers to their questions will be sent out 7 days later.

March 4, 2025

City Council Meeting where they hold a study session to increase utility (water) rates for all of Peoria.  Also, 10 neighbors speak out against Amkor.

March 25, 2025

City Council Meeting where 15 residents spoke out against Amkor in Vistancia.
